In-House Automation Specialist

Remote · Full-time · Operations & Technology

Salary range: $90,000–$130,000 + equity.

About This Role

BAXUS runs lean by design. We use AI and automation aggressively across every function: operations, marketing, analytics, customer support, and internal workflows. We need someone whose entire job is making everyone else faster.

You will own internal automation and AI tooling across the company. You will identify bottlenecks, build workflows, connect systems, and deploy AI solutions that let a 12-person team operate like a 50-person one.

What You'll Do

  • Audit internal workflows across all departments and identify automation opportunities
  • Build and maintain automated pipelines (data ingestion, reporting, email sequences, inventory updates, content generation)
  • Deploy and manage AI tools for content creation, customer support, data analysis, and internal operations
  • Connect systems via APIs and integration platforms (Slack, Linear, Google Workspace, CRM, marketplace backend)
  • Build internal dashboards and monitoring tools
  • Train the team on new tools and workflows — if you automate something, you document it and teach it

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • 3+ years building automations, integrations, or internal tools
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar scripting languages
  • Experience with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, custom scripts)
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and how to integrate them into business workflows
  • API-literate — you can read docs, authenticate, and build integrations without hand-holding
  • Strong systems thinking — you see how pieces connect and where friction lives

Strong to Have

  • Experience with Solana/blockchain tooling, marketplace ops, or data pipelines

Why Join BAXUS

BAXUS at its core is about bringing transparency, technology, access, and liquidity to the global spirits industry, from distiller to retailer to consumer and back. We sit at the crossroads of spirits and blockchain, solving big problems for both the drink and crypto worlds. Whether it's making spirits pricing more transparent and accessible, or turning a wishlist and home bar into a live marketplace, everything we're building delivers real value to real people.

This is a startup, so it's fast, intense, and full of challenges — but also full of people who care deeply about the product, the culture, the history, the stories, and the magic of a liquid that people love and want to share with others across the globe.

We've got big ambitions and a high-performing team that moves quickly, thinks strategically, and takes pride in building products that people actually use. If you're someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys being hands-on, and wants to help shape a category-defining company, you'll fit right in.

Perks & Benefits

  • Very remote-friendly
  • Flexible hours and schedule
  • Comprehensive health insurance benefits (health, dental, vision, and health stipends if outside of US)
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Lots of fun events and opportunities — we've sent staff to the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Bourbon Festival, Solana Breakpoint & Accelerate, unique one-of-a-kind whiskey tastings, barrel pickings, distillery tours, and more
