Wild Turkey Single Barrel Rye BAXUS Team Select

In March 2025 the BAXUS team made the pilgrimage to Kentucky to pick a handful of barrels at the Wild Turkey distillery. As we stepped into the warehouse the legendary Bruce Russell had prepared a line up of barrels hand picked for us to choose from. 

Once we had completed our Russell's Reserve picks we moved onto selecting a first for the BAXUS team, a Wild Turkey rye!

Bruce, known for his love of rye whiskey, presented us with three barrels all roughly 6-7 years of age. Tasting through the barrels there was a clear winner, barrel #3. This proved to be a 2017 vintage matured in waewhouse H on the Tyrone Campus. A few dashes of water bring the proof down and the result is this 101 proof Wild Turkey rye chosen especially for our community. 

Wild Turkey rye is made in limited quantities each year, with roughly a month's worth of production time dedicated to the spirit. We believe Turkey makes some of the best Kentucky style rye on the market, and couldn't be prouder to have found this delicious spice bomb!
